what is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an alternative healing modality that is used for physical pain and emotional distress. It is also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure.
How it works:
Specific meridian points are tapped on whilst maintaining a mental focus on an emotional issue. Negative emotions cause disruption in the body’s energy systems and the gentle tapping, whilst focussing on the emotion, helps the body’s systems to regulate and release the emotional charge. studies have shown positive changes in the amygdala after tapping. The amygdala is a part of the brain which is responsible for triggering the stress response, and tapping helps to send a calming signal, therefore calming the response and replacing poor coping mechanisms with healthier ones. Once the negative emotion is defused the body can come out of “flight or fight” into “rest and digest,” restoring our homeostasis.
What can EFT be used for?
EFT can be used for almost anything - from shame issues, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, overwhelm, low self esteem and much more. It is also effective for pain management, inflammation and gut issues. When we are stressed we can get stuck in a reactive state which results in a poor immune system, inability to sleep soundly, feeling ‘wired yet tired,’ digestive issues and a general feeling of being dysregulated. EFT is very effective for stress management, quickly restoring a sense of calm.

Matrix Reimprinting, What Is It?
Matrix Reimprinting is a healing modality developed by EFT Master Karl Dawson back in 2006.
The Matrix is another name for what quantum physicists call the “quantum field” in which everything is connected through a web of energy including our bodies, thoughts, emotions and memories.
Imprinting refers to the system by which humans take on the characteristics of their parents by observation and imitation.
95-99% of our daily behaviours, activities and habits are run by our subconscious programming. Many of these negative programs were imprinted in the first 6 years of our life based on trauma, misperceptions and observing those around us.
Memories are only memories to the conscious mind… to the unconscious mind and heart they are current events… the replacement of these pictures creates a permanent healing effect.
How Does Matrix Reimprinting Work?
Matrix Reimprinting is a powerful therapy which combines EFT with visualisation to process and release the chronic effects of past trauma and stress in the subconscious mind. It is a effective and gentle. In contrast to other therapies, it doesn’t require the client to necessarily relive the event.
It works by acknowledging and releasing the emotional charge from the trauma, identifying the negative belief made or strengthened in that moment, then creating new positive images, outcomes and beliefs in relation to the original event and reimprinting these in the mind and body.
The effect is often a profound transformation in physical and emotional wellbeing, freedom from the traumatic memory, and a cognitive shift in insight, belief and perception.
What is Matrix Reimprinting effective for?
It is effective for physical pain, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, low self esteem, depression, grief, addictions, fear, panic and phobias.
Transforming negative beliefs can lead to more confidence, self esteem and inner peace.
